Cancellation Policy for Red Shield Inspections, LLC
Effective Date: April 29, 2025

Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance to avoid a $150 Trip Fee.

The Inspection Agreement must be signed within 1 calendar day or risk losing your inspection timeslot.

At Red Shield Inspections, LLC, we value your time and ours. To ensure fairness, efficiency, and mutual respect, we have established the following cancellation policy:

1. Inspection Appointment Commitment
When you book an inspection, we reserve a dedicated date and time for you.
Inspection appointments are fixed appointments — meaning we block off the scheduled time and generally cannot fill that slot with another client on short notice.

Inspection Agreement
The Inspection Agreement must be signed within one (1) calendar day of booking to confirm your appointment.

Failure to sign within one (1) day may result in the loss of your reserved inspection time.

2. Cancellation and Trip Fee
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment time.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice — or failure to ensure that property access is available — will result in a $150 Trip Fee.

Inspections booked within 24 hours of the appointment time are also subject to the same cancellation policy and trip fee if canceled or inaccessible.

It is your responsibility to ensure that sellers, tenants, or any involved parties are aware of and ready for the inspection at the agreed time and date.

3. Payment and Agreement Signing
Some clients prefer to sign and pay on-site, which is acceptable.

However, an unsigned agreement or unpaid invoice does not count as a cancellation.

Only direct communication by email, phone, or text confirming cancellation will be recognized as an official cancellation.

4. Why We Enforce This Policy
There are important reasons why we enforce a strict cancellation policy:

Mutual Respect: Respecting each other’s time and professional commitments.

Accountability: Financial responsibility discourages last-minute cancellations and ensures clients are committed.

Loss of Revenue: Inspection slots involve preparation, travel, and opportunity costs.

Scheduling Challenges: Last-minute cancellations make it difficult or impossible to rebook another client.

Deterring Policy Abusers: Protecting our time and availability from repeated short-notice cancellations.

5. Exceptions
We understand that emergencies happen.
Exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of Red Shield Inspections, LLC.
